The studio

A small fire, kept well

Prometheus is a two-person web studio working across Cyprus & Greece. We build the kind of site we'd want to use: quick, quiet, and honest about what it's for.

Why the name

Prometheus carried fire to people: the spark that let them build. A website is a small fire of the same kind: it should give your customers light and warmth, not a loading bar and a cookie wall. We took the name because it sets the bar. Carry something useful, or don't bother.

It's also a promise about how we work. Fire is useful before it's beautiful: it cooks, it warms, it lights the way home. We hold a website to the same test: every part has to earn its place by doing something for the person in front of it. Anything that doesn't, we leave out.

Fire, within reach

Prometheus stole fire from the gods and suffered for it, so that everyone, not just the powerful, could have light and warmth. We think a presence online works the same way. Being findable, trusted, and open for business shouldn't be a luxury for companies with big budgets; the corner shop, the new studio, the one-person trade deserve it just as much.

That belief sets our price. We build your site for free and ask only a small fee each year to host it, keep it safe, and keep it current. No big sum up front, and nothing of yours held hostage. Everything you put in, and everything the site brings you, stays yours to take. We'd rather light many small fires than a few expensive ones.

ΜΗΔΕΝ ΑΓΑΝ

Nothing in excess

Inscribed at the temple of Delphi, and the whole of our method. No parallax circus, no autoplay, no effects nobody asked for, the kind that spin a laptop's fan on the first scroll. We cut everything that doesn't carry the message, so the page loads instantly, reads clearly, and respects the person on the other side of the screen.

How we work

We start with the one thing your site has to say, and design outward from there. We write the words, cut the weight, and test on a real phone on a slow connection, because that's where most of your visitors actually are. Accessibility is built in from the first line, not bolted on at the end.

Everything runs on near-zero JavaScript. The site you're reading is the proof: it works with scripts off, installs to your home screen, and opens offline. We hold ourselves to the standard we sell.

Where we work

Cyprus and Greece, in English and Greek, in person where it helps and online where it doesn't. We know the ground here: the businesses, the seasons, and the way people actually search when they're standing in a street looking for you.

Most projects start with a real conversation and a fixed price, not a form and a sales call. If you're building something here and want it fast, findable, and honest about what it's for, tell us about it.
